at this very moment, i am sitting at my brother's desk waiting for my ipod shuffle to charge so that i can go for a walk. a long one. the kind that requires good music, a nice breeze, and a starry sky. my favorite kind.
i'm not even sure where to start. blood pressure competency tests. remember that a patient can't have nailpolish on their nails if you want to test their blood oxygen. when changing sheets in an occupied bed, make sure you remember to put the bed rails up when you switch sides. assess assess assess. start learning those nursing diagnoses and interventions. is your head spinning yet? remember where you put your wallet. don't drop your keys on your way to the library. did you leave your phone sitting next to the computer you were working on earlier? have you practiced the medication administration math yet? and what about those one million nursing abbreviations you've got to memorize by next week? call your parents. deal with the changes your family is going through. make new friends. find a church. eat. don't forget to eat. but while you're eating, you should probably work on memorizing some abbreviations.
oh, and pump up the tires on your bike.
i'm going for a nice, long walk.
