a few things
i just met my mouse roommate. to be fair, peter did warn me that we have a mouse roommate. i guess the only house rule is that we leave one another alone. gus gus, as i like to call him, just kind of walks along the floor every once and awhile before moving on to his other apartments. and we leave him alone. awesome. i tried to let gus gus know that he wasn't welcome while i was here - but i'm sure he doesn't speak english and i wasn't about to touch him so. let the cohabitation continue.
mexican chocolate ice cream and kat - my 3rd-year-at-harvard-medical-school-butt-kicking friend from way back when. she's gonna change the world i am sure of it. and she's fun to be around. bam pow.
um, nights that are warm enough to eat ice cream outside. enough said.
exposing your blog-writing-panties by publishing a post that has a little too much of your heart in it, a little too soon. oh world wide web, why do you make it so easy for me to overshare? shoot - that's probably my problem... eh.
thunderstorms at night with the windows open. oh summer thunderstorms, how i have missed you.
going on 3 weeks and the boston accent still catches me off guard.
family growing pains - not always joyful, but it is cool to have a group of people who are going to be in your life for better or for worse. you have to learn how to love each other because eventually you can't just avoid the issues.
The fact that everyone who has read this far is going to post a comment, sharing something about their day that filled them with a bit of joy. Oh yeah, you are going to do it. I live with a mouse. Do it.

i concur with nathan: don't hold back.
ReplyDeletebelgium chocolate ice cream by archer farms (target?!). my 401(k) accounts finally consolidating into one. bakery-fresh bread. the usefulness of non-slip rug pads. helping out a fella in need at the gas station. hooking up the first lamp of my apartment and discovering the new dimension of warmth it brings. :)
does your tiny roomate know about your night fits that involve you screaming out "spiders, spiders, everywhere!"? that might scare the little guy away. next time try elephants.
ReplyDeletechicago pan pizza with friends. horoscopes. and getting a full night's rest after a night of those eye-opening yet magical summer thunderstorms

ReplyDeleteI had, not a mouse, but a RAT in my college house, it was seriously disgusting and HUGE. It gives me chills just thinking about it.
Joyful things today were: spaghetti squash, finding someone a job, wimbo and karalea hugging me so so tight when i came home, sitting on lisa's bed chatting and feeling so at home, julie's rat email, your email, 17 days :).
finding gluten-free beer at the store around the corner from me, seeing your comment on my blog post, working on a painting for a friend, knowing I am not the only one that overshares in my blog, running to the beach
ReplyDeleteLate to the punch here, but here all the same.
ReplyDeleteUsing my power drill to hang baskets in our kitchen and as I drilled the screws into the wall dedicating each hole to Anne.
